Health promotion centre and Mental Health Day Forum 2011

I went to the Health Promotion Centre in Berakas for the Diabetes World Day 2011. I did not snapped the photos of the function but at the end of functioned, i went inside the Gallery of Health. I was happy to see it maintain quite well. I was involved in making of the Mental Health Gallery before its opening. I still remembered how hard for me to find the BRAIN model.. which shows its areas when Depression, Schizophrenia and also Dimentia affect the Brain....Well, all is over now. I went in the Gallery and took few nice photos there.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH FORUM

The function took place in Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong. The Minister of Health was invited as a Guest of Honour for the function. This Year, the theme is "The Great Push: Investing in Mental Health"

Majlis Ilmu

I was exhausted for the busy schedule in my workplace. Lot so of functions and seminar (workshop) coming up in the events. i was quite busy for meetings and i also have to attend the IPA courses for 3 days in this July.. Besides busy with other meetings, at the same time, I had to manage the patients and spend time with my patients...

Last Sunday, i attended the Symposium "Advance Nursing Practice" from 8.00 am to 2 pm... I was having the opportunity to visit some of the poster done by my colleagues especially the services of Psychiatry Services and also from other department. This is the photos i managed to snap from my mobile phone.

 

Sekolah Menengah Awang Semaun

Feeling exhausted and tired today. I am not well physically and bit weak. Matron, Hj zulkiflee and me going for Health Promotion. This session, the target is mainly for teachers. and after end of the session, as usual we teach them relaxation techniques.

Health Promotion Pusat Latihan Bomba dan Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Husain

Today .. again go for the health promotion in 2 places...in a day. Morning, we have to go to Pusat Latihan Bomba in Lambak. Matron Pg is the one who delivered the lectured for he recruit who will be promoted to become officers. Followed by the lecture regarding Stress Among Workers, the demonstration 'Relaxation Techniques' done by SN Hj Zulkiffle.

In the afternoon, I go to Sayyidina Husain Jerudong to give lecture as requested. Stress and preparation before exam.

Health Promotion SMSB Tutong

Health Promotion... in Sufri Bolkiah Sec. School.. My Previous school... I am happy because I am able to stand in front of the younger generation... I believe they will be success too...

After the lecture, I was able to give individual counseling to 2 students. They really need helped and one of them really need to seek professional help... which I will arrange to see our Specialist, Dr Abang Benette, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

I went to the school with Karmayunika, My collegue... And I never expect that my own Best Friend, Siew Peng will give the souvenir to me... She indeed helped me and support me previously.. I remembered she ever scolded me and frustated with my behaviours before... She had scolded me right! She must be proud and never expect that.. one day, I will become a health promotion team members.. and success in my Life... Thanks My Best Friend...

Health Promotion In Sekolah Menengah Sufri Bolkiah, Tutong

I never expected in my life that... I will be going back to my previous school, Secondary School with my team to give lecture. Today, Matron Pg Hj Sabtu giving health talk on Stress among Teacher and ways of dealing stress. The Demonstration Relaxation Technique done by my Collegue Fauzana. My teacher must be feel proud of me because they have a bright and success student.. hehe... kambang... angkat bakul sikit... and I am happy to see them. They are the place whom I always came to during my school time for my study problems.

Tomorrow, there will be another session on Stress Management on Science Club student (appr.100 student) and I will do my Best... and soon will be another posting...

Health Gallery Brunei

Health Gallery of Brunei Darussalam had its launching Last year 2008. It is a project sponsored by Shell Company, I personally involve much in the Mental Health Section. Inside this Health Gallery... there are many sections, I could remember: Dental section, Tabacco, Occupational Health, Diet & Nutrition, Mental Health, Gynaecology (include all the Sexually Transmitted Disease,STD).

This is the pictures inside the Health Gallery in Health Promotion, Ministry of Health of Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Below are the Mental Health Section in which we explain about Mental Health and Mental Illness... and 2 computers screen attached to the wall. Inside the computer is the Questionnaires about the General Mental Health and the other one is the Mental Health of the Child. In the Mental Health section, almost all articles in the panel wall is written by Prof Dr Ramli Hassan, Head and Specialist in the Psychiatric Department in RIPAS Hospital.

In Mental Health Section, there are 2 relaxation chairs. If you sit on the chair, it is real relaxing because it is Massage chair, massage your body, from neck to the legs depending on the settings with soft music and aromatherapy smells. And the Environment... Front image is waterfall and behind is glass wall and flow of water with picture... like waterfall... with the help of LCD projector.

Below is the most difficult part... I am spending almost 1 week time looking and understanding the picture while searching in the net. I browse through and the brain is the most difficult section to understand. Because I am asked to search Picture to do a model later ... in which part of the brain affected when hit by: Schizophrenia, Depression and also Dementia. In searching this picture alone and reading enough to make me stress... in addition to it, the due date for this project is near... My stress level went down when I sent this picture to do the model... the consultant and the designer said the picture was clear and OK. Because previous pic that I sent is not clear and been rejected because they are having difficulty to understand the content due to unclear picture, difficult scientific term and unclear explanation from the text book... Finally, this is the outcome...

Health Talk at Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School

Yesterday... i was so busy and bit exhausted. In the morning, I gave health talk to Form 3 students at Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School in Lambak. I am able to do the talked in relax ways and I spoke loud to avoid the students from sleeping... I am asking questions from time to time to make sure student listened to my talk... "Ways of overcome stress before examination." The school prepare 4 gifts to give away to the students who are brave enough to answer my question...

At the end of the session.. the teacher asked the students to arrange themselve in row.. and grab those male students who hide their hair using 'songkok'.. and then the teacher cut their hair short...

Form 5 Sekolah menengah Umar Al-Khattab Lumapas

This morning, I am giving talk to Secondary School in Umar Al Khattab student in Lumapas. Today... the student is Form 5 student. I am bit relaxed in giving the talk may be because I am get used to that school environment. I am ready and prepared mentally and physically to this lecture. At the end of the session, after the question and answer session, one female student came to me and started to talk regarding her problems and start crying. After talked to her about 15 minute... I handled her to their counseling teacher at school. I am happy with this lecture, student listened to me and at the end of the session, at least one student came to me
personally for personal advice...

Health Promotion At Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Al-Khattab, Lumapas

Today... I get myself ready... It's my turn and schedule to give the health talk to Form 3 students around 200 ++ .. I don't know the exact number... Again: I am going with Massalina and Rahman.....
